First Aid Courses:

Training in Emergency First Aid at Work, aimed at employees of small businesses, as well as those of medium and low risk of accidents, is offered.
​
During the training, you will learn how to perform CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) based on realistic scenarios using manikins. You will also be instructed on how to provide basic first aid, such as assisting a choking person, helping a burn victim, dealing with fainting and sealing minor wounds. Furthermore, you will be made aware of first aid regulations and the duties of a first aider, all with the aim of acquiring the necessary skills to keep the casualty alive until the arrival of the emergency services.

The First Aid at Work (FAW) course is designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is essential for employers to ensure that their employees are adequately trained in first aid, as it is a vital skill in the workplace.
The benefits of completing the FAW course include being able to recognise and respond to a range of medical emergencies, such as injuries to bones, muscles and joints, chest injuries, burns and scalds, eye injuries, sudden poisoning, and anaphylactic shock. Moreover, they will understand the role of the first-aider, including the importance of preventing cross infection, the need for recording incidents and actions, and the use of available equipment. Having the necessary skills and knowledge to provide first aid can help save lives and prevent minor injuries from becoming more serious.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) is a comprehensive training course designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide first aid to children and infants in emergency situations.
It is essential for anyone working with children to be able to act quickly and effectively under pressure. During this course, participants will learn how to respond to a range of medical emergencies, including CPR for children and babies, recovery position, automated external defibrillator for children and babies, bleeding and hypovolemic shock, burns and scalds, seizures, choking, and anaphylaxis.
Participants will gain the confidence to provide effective first aid in an emergency situation and ensure the best possible care for the child.

Paediatric First Aid is a more comprehensive training course than EPFA, designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide first aid to children and infants in emergency situations. It is essential for anyone working with children to be able to act quickly and effectively under pressure. This course is required by OFSTED registered establishments and includes more exercises and scenarios than the one-day EPFA course, giving participants the confidence to provide effective first aid in an emergency situation and ensure the best possible care for the child.

During this course, participants will learn how to respond to a range of medical emergencies, including amputation, asthma, broken bones, difficulty breathing, electric shock, eye injuries, head injuries, heat stroke and heat exhaustion, nosebleeds, poisoning, sepsis, smoke inhalation, spinal injury, sprains and strains, and diabetes.

First Aid at Work Refresher is a 12-hour course designed to update the skills and knowledge of those who have already completed the full 18-hour First Aid at Work course. This course is in line with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements and is valid for a period of three years. The course covers all the topics of the full course, including CPR, recovery position, drowning, use of automated external defibrillator, choking, bleeding and hypovolemic shock, amputation, chest, spinal and crush injury, sprains and strains, burns, asthma and difficulty breathing, hyperventilation, head injuries, diabetes, eye injury, poisoning, acid attack and COSHH, stroke, anaphylaxis, heart attack and angina, seizures, heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and hypothermia.
